Working as a member of the Portfolio Management team for Cisco Services, I designed the new, streamlined field communications process that was a part of the CSDM 2.0 initiative, a revision to the Cisco Services Development Method.

CSDM is the process by which services are moved through the various gates to become official, supported offerings in the Cisco portfolio. The trick was to balance the needs of product managers (a streamlined process that isn’t onerous) with the needs of downstream organizations like legal, support, marketing, and sales (a need to have information as early as possible so that they can plan for and prepare their own tasks to support the product release).

I developed a field communication process based on input from all stakeholders, and also worked on other parts of CSDM, to ensure that the CSDM 2.0 initiative was a success.
